Nebbiolo – Barolo, Barbaresco and Crus Grand Tasting with Master Sommelier Matthew Citriglia

For years the region of Barolo and Barbaresco has taken a back seat to the more renowned regions of Bordeaux, Napa and Burgundy. Despite an exponential increase in quality over the last 20 years, prices have remained reasonable in comparison to those big three. Nebbiolo has been undervalued for years, but this is changing as customers worldwide are beginning to recognize the world greatest wine value. This seminar will define the identity of a great Nebbiolo wine and the historic influence Burgundy had the region. We will take a deep dive into the regional communes and crus and explore how each area has shape the Nebbiolo grape into unique expression of site. Southern Glazer’s Director of Wine Education and Master Sommelier Matthew Citriglia will guide this tutored tasting like a tour through Piedmont.
